Seriously. 18 months since I last posted.
Oddly enough, nothing exciting has happened. Everyone is healthy, happy and fine.
G starts Kindergarten this week. I'm going to allow myself to feel how I feel. I am good at brushing that stuff off but not this time.
It's stunning how much I love my boys. And how differently. I don't have a favorite: though each time I'm with one of them alone I think they might be it...and then I go with another one. It's like I have THREE favorites---which is awesome.
Am still working: it's crazy. Lots of work with no money. And the economy is doing BADLY!!! I'm just happy to be making enough $ to cover what I want to do.
Today boys are with Tony in AM and I am at Ps working. G having neighbor playdate this afternoon. I've got to get all G's stuff finished up for school tomorrow.

Parenting is simply hard.
How is it possible that it has been 8 days since I could find a minute to post? Big E is holding Little E and watching Michigan (when I should be watching Private Practice and the new Project Runway!)..so instead of going to bed, I came here.
What have we been up to? On no-Nanny Wednesday I took the boys to the gym AND the library! It was fantastic, since I took them TWO places. Then, we came home for lunch and made pigs -n- blankets, which were also excellent. My MIL didn't make it, so the whole family went to Golf Mil Mall to kill some time. I ended up buying a few things at Rave, which is going out of business.
Little E also slept for 12 hours in a row for the first time. He fell asleep in the car on the way home and I was able to keep him asleep until Thurs morning!
Thursday Little E and I took my Dad lunch since he is home with pneumonia. He's still sick but getting better. Big E went out in Park Ridge tonite so I had a quick dinner by myself at Hagen's (in honor of Joe's Fishmarket--RIP) and then played with the boys.

What's this all about?
I work full time. I have three small children. Life goes by too fast. I can barely remember what day it is, no less what I actually did that day.
So this blog is my attempt, for one year, to write down a little something about what I did today.
And it is starting 6 days late...hee hee.
Jan. 1 2010: Big E was still recovering from his sickness (which precluded him from partaking in any NYW festivities with the kids. Do not even get me started on that!) I seriously have no idea what we did today. Thus the reason for the blog.
Jan. 2 2010 (Saturday): Went to the Parents with the family sans Big E for a ham dinner. Food was great. I made molten chocolate lava cakes which my nephew M said was awesome. A strong compliment since his Mom makes the best dessert ever. Good cocktails. I made Big E come pick us up so that I could drink, which I did--vodka xx drinks. Being with family, good.
What was not so good was the kids. It seems G has been placed in the "bad" kid box and seems to get a larger portion of the blame (or announcement of the blame) than is possibly real. No one ever asks the person he "hits" WHY he hit them. As if G just walked up to them for no possible reason and wacked them. Frustrating to say the least.
Jan 3 2010 Sunday: Big E finally snapping out of it some. Made carne con papas for dinner which was great.
Jan 4. Took Little E with me to the gym.
Jan 5 . Ps over for dinner--made split pea soup with leftover ham. Boys started their new classes at Park District and Isab said they loved it!
